We are so excited about the North Carolina Inshore Open!
Do you love to fish? So do we! The Inshore Open is a North Carolina statewide fishing tournament from Wilmington by CCA NC. CCA NC is a conservationist non-profit organization whose mission is to protect nature's resources so that they can thrive for future generations to enjoy. The tournament goes from August 25th to September 29th. The most exciting development about this year's tournament is the launch of the iAngler app so that participants will no longer have to go through the trouble of weighing their catch and only being able to participate in single-day tournaments! This tournament has notoriously awesome prizes, and you do not want to miss out on this year's selection! Read below to learn a few quick, essential facts regarding the tournament.
- The iAngler app is a wonderful addition to the tournament because it is efficient and allows your catch to be released back into the water. This is a wonderful species conservationist effort on their part!
- The fee is $70 per entry, and the link to sign up is here: Tournament Sign-Up
- The species included in this tournament are Red Drum, Flounder, and Speckled Trout. It is important to note that Flounder may only be caught and submitted during flounder harvest season, September 15th-29th.
- This year's prizes will be awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in their respective divisions. Those who come in first place this year will receive a trophy from Fish Burn Art, a rod and reel combo plus, and a tackle shop gift card! Don't fret; the prizes for second and third place are great, too, including a tackle shop gift card to the shop of your choice.
- Even if you catch fish outside the targeted species, you should enter them into the iAngler app because the more species you catch, the more entries you will have in the random weekend giveaways! These giveaways will occur throughout the tournament and will include various prizes.
The The Andy Bovender Team at Compass Wilmington is not only about real estate, but about embracing the place where you live and its natural wonders. This team loves to fish, and we hope to see you out on the waters very soon!
