Nags Head, North Carolina

With 11 miles of coastline, Nags Head is a quaint beach town in the Outer Banks. Generations of individuals have flocked to this popular vacation spot for years. With thousands of shipwrecks off its coastline, this spot has endless local lore. Though it’s a fishing hub, you can also paddle board, kayak, head to the local pier, and grab a bite to eat! Fish Heads Bar & Grill is a top-rated spot for a reason. You can enjoy fresh local catch and cocktails while taking in the gorgeous view of the beach. This place truly has it all! 

 

Emerald Isle, North Carolina

Perfect for days out on the water, Emerald Isle sits on Bogue Banks Island, which is positioned along North Carolina's Crystal Coast. Take a surf lesson, paddleboard, go on an offshore fishing tour, or rent a pontoon boat to fill your days. For a peaceful stroll, walk along North Carolina's birding trail, where you will see many exquisite species. Emerald Isle is home to an expansive golf course that stretches 2,452 yards with a par of 56. Surf’s Up Bar & Grill, a "low-key beachfront spot for pub fare", is a fun local spot to grab a drink and fried seafood. To catch the game, head to Shark’s Den Sports Bar & Grill. They have a wide selection of wings, burgers, and drinks! Emerald Isle has much to offer, no matter what kind of traveler you are!

 

Carolina Beach, North Carolina

Along the Cape Fear River, Carolina Beach boasts a stunning state park with miles of sandy beaches, amusement parks, delicious restaurants, campsites, excellent fishing, and more! Many companies offer jet ski rentals, boat tours, guided fishing trips, scuba diving lessons, and kayaking. Head to the boardwalk to enjoy the Carolina Beach Arcade, Britt’s Donuts, the Ferris wheel, and the carousel. If you feel like you need a little party, the Seawitch Cafe & Tiki Bar is your spot. Here you can enjoy fresh seafood, frozen drinks, and live music. The Ocean Grill & Tiki Bar is another similar beach-front spot with all the good vibes. It's the perfect beach getaway for you and your family!

 

Bald Head Island, North Carolina

Bald Head Island is a sunny, remote village near Wilmington, NC. This sunny destination has miles of beautiful marshland, beaches, and a championship golf course. Bald Head Island perfectly embodies peacefulness and relaxation. For a taste of history, visit "Old Baldy," the island's historic lighthouse standing tall since 1817. Take a walk through the village where you'll find the perfect shops to pick up gifts, clothes, and sweet treats for the kids at Noonie Doodle! Jailhouse Provisions is a top-rated restaurant with a refreshing selection of draft beer, seafood baskets, burgers, and more. 

 

Oak Island, North Carolina


This charming beach town is family-friendly and offers many options for recreational activities, whether you’re the adventurous type or more relaxed. Pets on leashes are welcomed and allowed to be off-leash from October 15 to March 15. Take a guided tour of Oak Island’s notorious lighthouse, which was completed in 1958. Tours are available for those nine years of age and above. Do you love to fish? Head out onto the Oak Island Pier and drop a line! After a day filled with all that Oak Island has to offer, you will surely be hungry. Head to Bar-B-Que House to enjoy customizable barbecue and homemade sauces! The Pirates Deck is a great spot for a steak or some crab legs to immerse yourself in local life!

 

Sunset Beach, North Carolina

Located in Brunswick County, NC, this beach town has many options for activities for the entire family. From quad biking and jet skis to bike rentals and fishing tours, you will want to take advantage of this magnificent spot. To no one's surprise, Sunset Beach was named on National Geographic's list of 21 best beaches in the world! Regarding nightlife, you’ll have to go to Fibber McGee’s. This local spot has live music, delicious cocktails, and bar food (but better). If you’re craving Cajun flare, House’s Patio Bar & Grill is your spot. Shrimp etouffee at the beach? Yes, please! Sullivan’s Island, South Carolina

For a relaxing beach getaway, head to Sullivan's Island. Here, you'll find gorgeous coastal homes, delicious eateries, and fun on the beach! Sullivan's is full of historical charm and no wonder – it was the site of the Battle of Sullivan's Island, an infamous Revolutionary War battle. For the start of the perfect beach day, pop over to The Co-Op to grab a frosé and a sandwich. Sandwiches just taste better at the beach, right? Home Team BBQ is another great spot for lunch or dinner when visiting the island. Trust us, you'll never want to leave once you visit Sullivan's!  

 

Folly Beach, South Carolina

Just a short drive from Charleston, Folly Beach is a picturesque and inviting beach town with plenty to offer. Bask on the sand or head into town and explore Folly's lovely shops and restaurants. Though it is known for its slow-paced vibe, Folly has plenty of upbeat activities for you and your crew to enjoy! Hot spots for live music and drinks include Surf Bar, Blu, and Sand Dollar Social Club! Folly is also a great place to go on a boat tour – you're sure to see some dolphins!

 

Kiawah, South Carolina

Located 25 miles southwest of Charleston, this barrier island boasts stunning resorts and five-star golf courses. For a round of golf, head to the Ocean Course on the island. For an ocean-view dinner, Jasmine Porch is the perfect option.
