Yiasou Greek Festival
When: September 6th-8th, 11:00 AM - 10:00 PM (Sunday is 11am-6pm)
Where: Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 600 East Blvd, Charlotte NC

Charlotte Labor Day Parade
When: September 2nd, 2024, 11:00 AM
Where: North Tryon Street at 9th Street is the starting point, turning left on 3rd Street, and ending at College Street
Details: Celebrate with a traditional parade featuring labor union floats, bands, and community groups. This event is free and open to all.
Matthews Alive Festival
When: Friday 8/30 6:00-10:00 PM, Saturday 8/30 10:00 AM - 10:00 PM, Sunday 9/1 1:00 PM - 10:00 PM, Monday 9/2 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Where: Stumptown Park, 120 S. Trade Street, Matthews NC
Details: This is one of our favorite festivals to attend in the Charlotte area! There are so many things to do- shopping, eating all kinds of carnival food and local restaurant food trucks, carnival rides and games, live music all day long, shag dancing on Friday night, and there's even a parade (8/31 only, beginning at 9:30am)! Entry to the festival is free, but games/rides/food all require tickets, which are $2 each or $35 for 25 tickets or $60 for 50 tickets. See the full schedule of events here!
Labor Day Celebration at the White Water Center
When: August 31st-September 1st
Where: U.S. National White Water Center
This free celebration is an amazing event where friends and family can celebrate this Labor Day! The days activities include the Labor Day Trail Race, pass actvities, slow flow yoga, open flow yoga, fun flow yoga, and live music! Parking costs $12 and you are encouraged to bring blankets and chairs. Summer BLAST! Fireworks Show at Carowinds
When: August 31st, 9:30 PM
Where: Carowinds Amusement Park
