About Sharon Welnhofer

Sharon grew up in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, and graduated from High Point University with a B.A. in Elementary Education. After over 10 years working in the world of consumer banking as a branch manager and mortgage loan officer, she made the transition to being a full- time mom. It was during this period that Sharon discovered a passion for health and fitness, and became a certified personal trainer and spin instructor. 

For 11 years, Sharon was actively involved with the Morrison Family YMCA through her roles as instructor, trainer, program coordinator, events committee member, and volunteer. For her 50th birthday gift to herself, Sharon followed her heart and became a licensed Realtor®, bringing that same brand of dedication and enthusiasm to her career in residential real estate. 

Since 2017, Sharon has proven to be a genuine and hardworking Realtor®, whose authentic and conscientious qualities show her passion for helping both buyers and sellers meet their real estate goals. Since joining Compass Charlotte in 2022 as the Compliance Manager, and most recently as the Broker-in-Charge, Sharon’s experience and knowledge translates seamlessly into her role as a Closing Manager for the Andy Bovender Team.

Sharon and her husband Dave live in Indian Land, South Carolina, and have a son that just graduated from the College of Charleston, and a daughter that will be a freshman at the College of Charleston this fall. Sharon loves reading, hiking, kayaking, and most of all, spending time with her family.
