Meet Cortney

Operations Manager

Cortney grew up in the capital region of New York State and attended college in Rockland County, NY so she could stay close to her family. After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, she moved to her college town of Nyack where she could travel into NYC as often as her bank account would allow and still be within a few hours' driving distance of her family. When they decided to move to the Greater Charlotte area in 2014 it only took a year for her to follow them down.

Cortney gained her 15+ years of customer service and operations experience in a variety of fields including higher education and specialty retail management, where she learned the value of establishing and maintaining relationships with customers and vendors, clients and business partners alike, always exceeding expectations and bringing a smile to their faces. She dipped her toes into the tech and real estate worlds in January 2021 when she joined Compass in Charlotte, NC as an Office Experience Manager and Agent Experience Coordinator. Her strong ability to adapt, exceptional attention to detail, and enthusiasm for supporting others make her ideally suited for her role as Listing Manager.

When she’s not supporting the team, you can find Cortney at home with a good book, planning her next trip to a Disney Park, spending time with her family, or dreaming of a home library and rose garden. She also enjoys exploring historic homes and towns all over the country, and dreams of traveling to other countries to experience their rich and long history.
