Growing up in and around athletics some of my fondest memories were made as a member of a team. Over the years I’ve had the opportunity to be a part of some exceptional teams. If you are ever able to experience this, you will come to learn and sincerely appreciate some of the benefits a team has to offer.

The key concept to realize is that the strength and success of a great team doesn’t lie in any one individual. An individual can have an “off” day and when this happens, if the team is not strong, the entire team suffers. Think Lebron James on the Cavs vs Steph Curry on the Warriors. When you have a strong team, it allows one person to slip here or there but the team continues to operate on a high level. The Bovender Team concept, and what I think we all bought into, is that to have a really strong team it requires you to put the needs of that team before your own needs.

You might wonder, who really benefits from this team approach? A great sports team directly benefits the most from their “goodness” in the form of trophies, championship rings, etc. However, our team’s success really translates directly into the benefit of our clients and that’s really what it’s all about!  Like everyone else I’ve heard and read about a lot of the real estate agent stereotypes e.g. “I can’t ever reach my agent,” or “my agent is too busy, I don’t want to bother them”, the list goes on and on. It’s easy to see how that could be the case for an individual agent. After all, they are having to constantly manage their listings, market their listings, show homes to buyers and answer emails/phone calls (if they aren’t too busy). We recognized these challenges and asked ourselves “how can we do this better?”. Because of this we decided to have a full-time listing team who constantly manages our listings, a closing team who constantly manages the “contract to closing” process and a group of agents monitoring the team’s email and voicemail on a 24/7 basis to ensure nothing slips through the cracks. This allows the agent to put their focus exactly where it needs to be, on the client. Our client reviews, testimonials and the sheer number of referrals we receive from our past clients really show us that we must be doing something right!
