There’s hardly a better way to describe Jonathan Darcy’s life as a real estate agent. From his first job as a broker’s assistant at age 18, to now, Operations Manager at The Bovender Team, Jonathan has gone through the many rigors of growth and learning in his career. If you’ve ever met him, it’s hard to believe that he’s spent almost 18 years in the industry just by looking at him. But once you take the time to have a conversation with him, his vast knowledge and casual demeanor won’t go unnoticed.

The 4th of 5 children, Jonathan, “Jon” as he’s more commonly known, grew up in Charlotte and attended UNC Charlotte where he studied business management. Immediately after high school, he got his first job which just so happened to be in the real estate industry. Ever since then he fell in love with the field. He enjoys being part of a team and appreciates the positive and comforting environment at The Bovender Team. He plays a very important role as Operations Manager, handling tasks such as managing systems and procedures the team uses on a daily basis, meeting with and training new agents and in fact, it wouldn’t be farfetched to call him the team’s right hand man.

Many people might be surprised to learn that Jon spent an entire year at college studying Japanese. He admitted that he was once interested in doing business in the Asian nation, and so he pursued a degree in Japanese to kickstart that career. Outside of work, Jon enjoys eating out, spending time with friends and family,  and is an avid Crossfitter. If he could go back in time and give his 19 year old self a word of advice, it would be to “ keep going and don’t be afraid to rake in a sale or do it on your own”.

Jon is well respected amongst the team and well liked by our clients.  He is an exceptional multitasker and calming force for you when you are experiencing the stresses associated with real estate transactions.
